Most ppl buy 17-40 f4L or 70-200 f4L as their 1st L lens coz both r the cheapest.

iish. but the 17-40 ain't enough for me, perhaps. 70-200 is a better choice, but is it worth it to get f/2.8L IS?

Iish. The f/2.8 IS is really expensive, but i REALLY dont feel like upgrading after getting the f/4 IS, and to also experience what Uncle ianho experienced. biggrin.gif Anyway, is it okay to get a copy of the lens from bhphotovideo.com? is the warranty going to be international or us only? The price is really cheaper as compared to local sets. sad.gif

I've upgrade my tele lens from EF-S 55-250 IS to 70-200 f4 IS and recently 70-200 f2.8 IS. If u have the moolah, just take the 70-200 f2.8 IS. I love every bit of this lens. Quite regret didn't bought it at the first place because i lost money when upgrade from time to time. The only drawback was i wish it wight just like the f4 IS..

I think i really have to test it out before i buy that beast == Anyone's willing to lend it to me for a day? biggrin.gif

Argh, still the same question, anyone of you out there ever bought lenses online from the US, and shipped to your doorstep?

Don't maaaaaaan. When u see the loss of bokeh u will know y u hafta carry the big mama. I don't miss my f4 the slightest bit.
I have but it was just cheap lenses for my Sony Alpha. I certainly won't b buying rm7-8k lenses online man. Though the US merchants r very reliable n do refunds n exchanges willingly, the postage is gonna kill u.

Not being safe, or the cost? blink.gif

older Ls are not weather-sealed... like the 300mm f/4 L IS USM, 4000mm f/5.6 L USM...

Woots, I want that 4000mm f/5.6 L USM! brows.gif
