REPORT
The lauching begins with an Emcee annoucing all the honourable guest including Jonathan Price (Director of Gifted Group), Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ministry, FAM's Secretary and Pengetua MSN.

Straight after that Mr.Jonathan gave a speech, that CYC 2007 was very sucessful. He then mentioned some wonderful figures about viewership and TV broadcasting of CYC 2007. Then he announced that this years CYC will be held from 2-16 August in 5 Cities & 6 Venues but there are no confirmation on the venues yet. He also announce the participating U-19 teams for this term which are as the followings:

- Malaysia (Host)
- FC Juventus (Hurra!)
- AC Milan
- Ajax Amsterdan
- FC Bayern Munich
- FC Barcelona
- Chelsea FC
- Flamengo
- Olympique Lyonnais
- PSV Eindhoven
- FC Porto
- River Plate
- Manchester United
- Qatar
- India
- AFC Team (TBC - likely to be Japan)

Shortly after that The Deputy of Ministry of Youth and Sports gave a short speech and after that they launch CYC 2008 with a photo with U-14 Squad of Malaysia.

Finally, the short yet interesting launch is over. I managed to talked to Jonathan after the launch. He said that he is expecting a great support this term from all the medias accross the world and fans after the inagural CYC. They hope that we could all be there to support.

Yeah we'll be there of course to support and stalk the players!! laugh.gif

Yeay, the tourney is back...

This news means that CYC is indeed a 3 years contract competition... I can't remember the millions poured in last time, if not mistaken 17 millions? Hope Man Utd will retain the champions as well as seeing more 'umph' from our boys...

Where's Arsenal and Liverpool? =(

I remember Steve Bould (Arsenal Youth Coach) was very upset the the quality of pitch, hopefully that will improve this time.

Maybe they was too upset with the pitch, so they decide to not entering this tournament. heh...

btw, good to see River Plate this time. Time to watching for another messi this time. Hope malaysia will do better this time.

Added on May 26, 2008, 6:45 pmSelepas pengajuran Intercontinental Cup yang boleh dianggap membazir (kerana final <2000 spectator), sekali lagi dlm masa sebulan sahaja "mereka" ini telah membukitkan pembaziran adalah satu rutin bg "mereka" dgn terpaksa membayar balik duit2 sponsor dan pampasan CYC. Akibat drpd sikap angkuh dan bongkak.......dan tamak.

Also thanks to FAM for making Malaysia dropping more to 170th.

Also for getting D rating which eventually eliminates us from AFC CL next season.

Also for getting D rating which enable us to bring power teams like Vanuatu, Tokelau, Lesotho for international tournaments similar to Pesta Bola Merdeka.

More and more bribing issues popped up.

I love them when they stand up talking "ini maruah dan mertabat bolasepak malaysia...."
