Hi All,

I hope that anyone can advise. Thks in advance.

My 8 year old son has a Gameboy Advance SP modded. He luvs to play Pokemon games, eg, leaf green, emerald, ruby, etc.
Lately he had been telling me that all his Pokemon games after beating the Elite four, will not continue in the bonus quests but will instead restart the game at the beginning. I believe previously he did not know until he started surfing the net.
As I'm don't play with his console, I don't know what he was talking about until I did a search in the internet and found out that he was correct. The game should continue after beating the Elite Four instead of restarting. However I can't find any answers why his games can't work. Probably I'm too stupid to understand. Hence I am asking for someone to help....

Is it because the games are pirated? If I buy original games, will the game work after beating the Elite four?
Or becos of something else?

Pls help. Thks.

I do not own any pirated versions of Pokemon so i cannot confirm that this is the problem.
I do know that I have never encountered these kinds of problems with original cartridges.

For one thing, it could be some problem with the save data on the imitation cartridge.

For one imitations use battery powered memory to conserve data (which eventually run out of charge and die) while originals use non-volatile memory (like those usb thumb drives)

I would urge you to get your son an original.

I am also going to close this topic because talk about pirated software is against our terms of service. I hope this has been helpful enough.
