aiyak..wut modem u'r using..using it for 6 month edi..only 3 times faced that prob
*
huawei E220 usb.. power mobile package. using it for 11 month already.

ya, dc quite frequent lately. this week is the worst, cannot connect at all. 1st i thought the modem was kong, but nope.. i still can connect at my office (KL area). then i thought it must be my home PC, but wrong again coz when using my laptop at home, also cannot connect.

i can only get connected if i set the modem to connect to GPRS. strange huh?

i think i'll wait 4 wimax to cover my home area.. then i'll switch.

I guess you're new to Maxis BB

Anyway , things would start to change later once you know maxis' true colours.

seems like maxis has really upgraded its service?

im getting fullspeed here in bangi(80kBps++, advanced package). and RSSI isn't blinking anymore. speed dropped to 1/2 during peak hours, but i don't mind that. atleast no more turtle speed and DC.

before this no matter where i put in the house, it's still blinking for the past 4 months.

Anyone facing error message which says something like

'no answer from remote computer/connection, so the port used are closed. blablabla for Help and More info lablabla'

So some reason i was unable to connect to 3G from one of my office these few days. But previously, i had no problem connecting, the speed is superb.

Called the CS, told me that my office is actually only PARTIALLY 3G COVERED (WTF) thus i was unable to connect. Asked me to used GPRS instead.

After changing the setting for GPRS only, i did manage to connect, but not able to surf the net at all.

.... Geeez...
edit : Perfectly fine to connect from other places. Currently on Maxis 3G connecting from another location...
*
if u read my previous posts, i had d same prob too last week (for almost a week long) at my home area. but then 1 nite when the prob gone, suddenly the speed & connection stability got better than b4. mayb.. just mayb.. maxis is upgrading their service.

Hi anyone here know what happen to maxis bb lately?already 6 days i cant use hsdpa speed only edge/gsm speed.when i open the zte mf600 page it say hsdpa and connected but i cant open any webpages but when i change the connection to gsm only i can browse the internet but pure slow speed.I live in petaling jaya so anyone know is there any maxis 3g problem there?i really cant stand with this speed make i can do my work and play on9 games like b4.
*
same prob at my resident area 3 month back. only gprs/edge is connectible fo about 2 week. after that, speed is better & more stable than b4.

so i guess maxis is doing maintenance job at ur area.. but imho, if maxis gonna do something that cause interruption in their service, they should notify the affected customers 1st..

u guys think for light usage (everyday surfing facebook, email, ym with 6-7 times a week youtube streaming) the 1st package with 1.5 data quota is enough? considering at that place the choice is only maxis
*
heh.. 1.5? with vid streaming, even 3gig is not enough.. i know coz i'm a maxisbb RM138/mth (3gig limit) package subscribers for more than a year..

humm.. the pcfair promotion package looks interesting.. i think i'm gonna unsubscribe my current package n take the rm138(-30)/mth (6gig limit) this month. at least i can double the current limit. thumbup.gif
