what's wrong with that? is it too much or too less???

The only thing I understand is, my laptop connected to my phone with a class C IP, thus my computer never connected directly to the internet, this is exactly like you connected through router. As a result, I'm always 1 extra hop away from the Maxis gateway.

lol, of course I'm know what is ping (ICMP ECHO). What I mean is how it performs compared to typical ping we got from Maxis Wireless.

2 digit ping? it is totally impossible for me. Trace route to google, the nearest router already have plenty of latecy.

Opps... these information might give the experts some clue where I'm located now.... blush.gif

To be fair, it depends of your requirement. For online game, bursty packet is definately unacceptable.

But for me, I work alone far away from my home town and rent a single room. The only time I can sit down and use internet is during the night time. Thus streamy is not for me. As a result, I subscribe the unlimited 99 as a VAS to my voice plan so that I can email and browsing on the road.

I have to say, despite the bursty nature of the packet, it is very fast. Watching streaming video is awsome, and much much faster than 1M streamyx.

I have this question...if i were to subscribe the RM99 unlimited month package...let say i cancel in the mid of the month, so do they return the pro rated $$ back?

I can only comfirm that you can terminated the subscribtion anytime, but not sure if you can get your money back.

prasys, I'm sure my bandwidth is not capped yet, and p2p is not being throttled

but I'm sure the fair usage policy will be enforced in the end of the day. This is business-to-business, it's about making money (imagine yourself as a business man).

Next, Wireless technology have its own limitation, high packet loss is an issue. Although Maxis might play some dirty tricks (and which ISP doesn't?), the technology itself should also be held liable. I had notice that, I have to frequently click the refresh button of the browser. But if the page begin to load, it is extreamly fast. This indicates that it has pleanty of peak speed, but high packet loss as well. So it is not suitable for any real time application.

From my experience, if you want play online game+24 hrs download+video streaming+voice/video conference, etc... Streamyx is still the way to go.

Lastly, ACT INSTEAD OF COMPLAIN HERE...
