at least im getting the above speed now.

i was dying with maxis broadband on edge for more than 10 days!!

complained and logged the case and called them for 5 different times... i got so fedup i terminated the broadband modem (68 package) and call it a day...

currently with celcom broadband.. just signed up for 98 package and it seems all well now... missed my normal connection so much.

i need portability as i travel here and there for internet... back home in kuantan will be better i guess as my area has 3.5g....

didnt regret signing it biggrin.gif

*maxis failed me for not fixing the connectivity issue... sad to say...*

Added on March 27, 2009, 1:44 amaccording to maxis the whole klang valley many users are suffering disconnection from 3.5g / 3g services...

if so, why take so long to solve it?!! shouldn't it be on priority 1??

sad.gif

Maybe there got something inside your modem, my speed in Teluk Cempedak(near Kuantan) HSDPA 1.9 Mbps
and Rawang or Bukit Beruntung are marvelous speed at 3.3Mbps. icon_rolleyes.gif

actually at kota kemuning previously was ok wan... using 68 package.. suddenly down to edge for 2 whole weeks!! i was so pissed i returned back the whole modem... called customer care 5 times. they like buat tak tau only excuse give me is : "not only you sir, alot ppl in klang valley call us to complain..."

if cant connect to 3.5g, do something la!! mad.gif

at kuantan tried before.. at jalan beserah there... showed me UMTS.. slow like GPRS/Edge speed... yawn.gif

i know maxis service/cust center is good.. but service how good product sucks = useless. haha...

so i switch now no more headache... yay notworthy.gif

Very common excuses given by them!!!! They will only open up the bandwidth when you complaint and then they close the bandwidth again after few days!!!!!

Then they will send a technician to your place to check after somemore complaints!!!!

No Logic at all!!!! They already know their problem  and their problem is the UNPLANNED UPGRADING WORK which affects too many customers that they are currently working on and still they want to act dump and come to your place!!!!!

What are they trying to do?????

These problem won't happen if they have planned their upgrading work properly!!!
Trust me, if you call their hotline 1800-82-2000, the operators will bring you round and round the loop like a Mary Go Round!!! Nothing will be solved even after more than 10 calls! INSIST TO SPEAK TO THEIR MANAGER!!!! Ask the operator if he can solve the problem or not? If not, don't waste our time!!! Transfer us to someone that can solve this problem!!!

This is what I did and they open the bandwidth IMMEDIATELY and out of nowhere, I can surf with 2Mbps steadily (first time I experienced such fast). Thats mean they have the capability, just that they will bring you round and round till they have no choice!!!!

Totally un-ethictical conduct as a telecommunication giant!!!!

Potential subscriber, Please be warned!!! I have no choice since I signed up the HP laptop and Maxis BB service for 2 years which cannot be terminated!

I Strongly advice and encourage all affected customers to demand a compensation from them!!! Remember, we are allocated the rights to do so! Show them that we are educated customer and not those who they can cheat our money easily!

Anyone agrees with me?

i am user for maxis 640kbps for 1 half years before making big step to change to celcombb D98.

i have no regrets, it really improved and giving me more peace of mind...

can sleep earilier these days, less waiting and frustration...

went through nightmare with maxis as mentioned above for 2 and half weeks (on edge speed), and that's it...

After reading so many thread i still couldn't make up my mind which wireless ISP i should go for.
It's seems like Streamyx get a more stable service ? But Streamyx wireless ? Is it like Streamyx plan using USB plug-in modem or wat ? I dun really understand the wireless connection thing. I mean, Maxis use Huawei's USB thing, is it all wireless ISP use the USB modem to connect to service ?
I'm personally a streamyx fix line broadband user, from Kluang johor. On 512kbps(i know it's slow) plan , any my download speed really really sucks. I dunno whether it's capped or wat ? But highest speed i ever get is 56kbps on http or p2p download. That's the fastest i could ever get. And to mention abt P2P, is it barred or banned by ISP ? i mean, if i use BitComet or Free Download Manager or Flashget, the speed will be like 1-2kbps(Yes, 1-2 kbps), only xunlei gives me faster speed, sumthing like 20-30kbps after sometime, highest 40kbps++.
So...i really need some advide on which wireless ISP i should go for as i'm going to study in KL soon. Hmm..anyone knows the best service to be used in Cyber area ?

^taken from maxis website

u guys think for light usage (everyday surfing facebook, email, ym with 6-7 times a week youtube streaming) the 1st package with 1.5 data quota is enough? considering at that place the choice is only maxis
*
they are slashing prices to compete with celcom..

i've used both maxis and celcom broadband before, and i can say celcom is cheaper, faster and more stable. kudos celcom rclxms.gif

still i might just cancel it and sign up for wimax once im in coverage area, or streamyx once i stay put at one place (at least no cap) tongue.gif
