ya, dc quite frequent lately. this week is the worst, cannot connect at all. 1st i thought the modem was kong, but nope.. i still can connect at my office (KL area). then i thought it must be my home PC, but wrong again coz when using my laptop at home, also cannot connect.

i can only get connected if i set the modem to connect to GPRS. strange huh?

i think i'll wait 4 wimax to cover my home area.. then i'll switch.

Just wondering, is the fair policy usage is still applied? I called the service centre to complaint about my slow speed, and they said, I've used more than 3GB this month (3GB? I tought 20GB).

bullshit. there's no way someone needs to pay only RM99 for Maxis 3G unlimited.

it's still tied up to your postpaid plan. you cancel postpaid plan = no 3G. thats all.

anyway, Maxis 3G quality has dropped a little this month. latencies are awful. maybe many people migrated into it already.

Well, sooner or later Maxis will charge you on your monthly bill for registration stamp etc etc. (probably 10/15RM)

Can i know what's your average speed and where you're located? Just curious..

Also, do you know that you can shared your broadband internet connection without having to buy/plug in a router?

LOL yeah. SRSLY, sometimes 3G connection is twice faster then Broadband connection. (Depends on your usage and where you're located though)

But using 3G connection/your phone as a modem would eventually destroy your phone. Starting with your battery, then it'll burn your chipset etc etc.

Lol...you CAN get Unlimited 3G WITHOUT having a postpaid plan. Now, I'm only paying RM99 per month for a 1.2Mbps connection No postpaid plan tied up to it. They tried to hook me up to postpaid but I said "No Thanks"

It's a little secret which Maxis will never reveal in their website

Added on March 17, 2009, 4:15 pmBtw, there is no commitment fee, termination fee, penalty whatsoever. If you're done with it...just terminate and say bye2. The only downside is that you have to get your own hsdpa modem.

i wanna know is it true maxis doin service upgrade in most of the states in malaysia?cuz when i go to their map site most malaysia penisular have a red mark mean service upgrade.

You can be happy for these FEW DAYS. After that, they reduce your speed again. This is what happen to me!

After complaining that I cannot get connected at all, suddenly I can reach 2Mbps for few day instead of around 300kbps average that I am getting all the while.

2 weeks later, my connection will never go beyond 10kbps!!!!!! Complaint again, they give you the speed for some time again! Now back to normal!!!
