I guess you meant 300KBps?
note B = Byte, b= bit
1 Byte = 8 bit

so 300KBps = 2.4 Mbps

im going to register rm48/mth package for maxis broadbnd,which entitles 1.5bg of usage.
if im downloading using direct link, evarage 4 files daily
will my speed capped drastically on that month>?
and how long does the promotion valid.the 2 months free promotion?

I subscript Maxis broadband 1.5 years ago. I subscript as a power user that time and it cost me RM98 per month (with a bulky ZTE modem). Recently, they give RM20 rebates because of my 1 year loyalty to them. Which means I have to pay RM 68 every month (I am a maxis postpaid user)

Currently, they have a home package, which only need RM48 per month. I am wondering can I switch to their home package since both package offer the same things but one package is cheaper RM20 per month.

yup... HSPA... most places in Bangi n Kajang has HSPA~ n my personal record.. 6.1mbps download n ping was... erm 45ms as my siggy below

Excuse me may i know what happened if u exceed 3gb quota limit extra charge or downgrade of speed?

Base on what they said, your speed will be downgrade. But trust me, you won't feel it as the normal speed is not that fast as well.

average ping = same
upload speed = same
download speed = 128kbps

actual download speed = 100-160kbps average... its spikes sometimes to 300kbps
BUT
if you are lucky... especially in HSPA networks... 2out of 10times you connect you can get full speed

Got my wireless usb modem from maxis today. proceed to installed but it's like dial-up speed here in pusat bandar puchong, the pages loaded up very slowly. Speed test is 0.25 mbps. Am i missing something? Is there any setting i should do? what's this, enter PUK number thing??

Mmm could be. who owned the transmission tower directly opposite 7-11, behind the mosque? i always thought it's maxis. My window have an unobstructed view to it
