Maxis is duping all of you with the current promotion. The modem cost is around RM140-RM150. When they asked customer to pay upfront fee of RM150, it is actually used to cover the modem cost (similar like buying the modem on your own). Went to their counter yesterday and had a fight with their dealers because with this new pricing you can't even return the modem within seven days to get a refund if the service is bad.

DO NOT GET FOOLED WITH THIS PROMOTION! This is Maxis way to boost up their broadband customer numbers to beat Celcom but at the mercy of customer satisfaction.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT THIS PACKAGE AND FEEL THAT YOU ARE BEING CHEATED, I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TO COMPLAIN TO MCMC.

that's what i did. i return after 5 days of usage.
now waiting to get the refund in cheque (mailed by post). maxis rep says refund process takes between 45-days to as long as 3 months! <-- F*CKER MAXIS!

I didn't use that dashboard. Win7 connects using the modem automatically whenever I plug it in. It indicates similar to WiFi, name, signal and nothing else.
