Anyone here taking up their free 4 months package for Maxis One Club member? There is no contract for this as in T&C. But when i get my modem and sim card from Maxis center, that staff there told me that i can't downgrade my package after the free trail so i just take the RM38/mth for 1.5GB package with rebate RM30x 6month for the modem purchase. So overall i just pay for RM180 and get the modem, then after 4 month i only need to pay RM38 -RM30(rebate)= RM8/mth for the next 6mth.

But then yesterday when i called Maxis customer service,The staff told me that i can downgrade or upgrade as i wish as there is no contract. I ask him if now i use 3GB(RM58/mth) for 4mth free, then downgrade to 1.5GB (RM38/mth) can or not, he say can and the rebate for the modem also still have.I double confirm wit him then straight away i ask him to upgrade to 3GB package already.

Now i wonder is the Maxis customer service can be trust or not. Dunno which is true. And in my mind now, since i get offer 4mth for free, why not i just take the 12GB package now then only downgrade back after 4mth.

Anyone try before? No contract izzit mean i can downgrade upgrade as i wish?

How's the Maxis USB 3G modem (that comes together with the package) perform?
Using other 3G devices better? If yes, what brand and model?
Can anyone help?   

aku juga mengalami problem yang sama ,aku sign up utk bb ni hujung tahun lepas, staff maxis kata data dya unlimited, aku hanya perlu bayar 48 ringgit sebulan, tetapi start minggu lepas aku kena block ngan maxis, bila aku bukak internet ja x kira website apa pun dya kuar maxis bb quota reached!! aku telefon maxis centre , dyowank kata skrg mxs x dk unlimited dah utk bb, skrg semua limited! aku cuba beli xtra gig yg free. alhamdunillah boleh guna tp aku nk tukar ke streamyx, sapa boleh terangkan kat aku x? knp streamyx combo 4mbps 160 dan streamyx 4mbps besa 238?? sapa2 boleh jelaskan kat aku?

well speed mxs mmg bagus untuk aku , tetapi sebab dya limited yang buat semua orang benci maxis! aku punya speedtest maxis bb 4mbps, tp upload 0.3 ja. aku puas hati la dgn kelajuan dya , cuma jangka hayat keggunaan dya yg aku benci!!!

New firmware available for the E1762 modem stick.
Installed but nothing noticeable except the ever annoying startup page now points to www.mylaunchpad.com instead of the old www.maxis.com.my/maxisbb

Speed : Mbps 4mbps (on speedtest) (sign up for 7.2 mbps speed)
download speed: 100kbps ~550kbps

lol does streaming youtube and other streaming site affecting my quota???

Yes... I also realized that when I check my usage...
I think sure we need to pay more... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They give me extra 500MB bandwidth since I have used 2.3GB of data usage 
Extra 500MB = RM18 more.... 
they should tell me first before do it....

anyway, anybody have any advise on unlocking maxis modem?....

or Maxis will help to unlock the thing after the contract?...

Turns out it's not the bundled software that launch the Maxis website upon getting connected. I tried using third party software (http://mwconn.m.i24.cc/index.html) and the Maxis website still get launched after getting connected.

The modem perhaps? Need to flash it?

From Malacca, awesome download speed but what's wrong with the upload?
