he must hurt his hand there. why the hell to put the hands at the side of cockpit when impact.BTW, i don't know why most F1 driver like to locked their wheels when they are spun....i think if he dun looked the wheel, his car still in good shape...coz the tyre will be gripped the road....

oh if u mean lock, then i think it's the only option the driver has 2 slow the car down, minimizing the risk of crashing into the tire wall
no point countering the steering like drifting cos the car is changing direction(spinning) 2 fast 2 b countered unless the car has just starting to spin, like when michael had a left-rear puncture in brazil 2k6, he managed to counter the steering, preventing the car from spinning
nonono...what i mean is not counter steer...i done that in simulation and it can avoided.......BTW, who am I to comment professional drivers. just giving my thought only.
