It was a procedural error - his engine was on the incorrect setting and that led to the anti-stall procedure kicking in, so he was swamped by everyone else as he tried to get away.

Yes, but as a team Vodafone McLaren Mercedes doesn't habitually blame its drivers in public. Is the procedure clear? Is it simple enough? We have to look at all the details.

Leading an organisation like FIA and being thrown with a sex scandal is one thing....but having a racist theme into it adds more salt to the wound. With this Nazi theme involved, those figures in German and Japanese motor industry (whom are old enough to be called WW2 survivor and still holds grudges over these things, and unfortunately have the power to call on a stand, like to dismantle Max) are obviously not too happy.

Someone has been looking around for Max's kryptonite to a what seems to be for decades a bulletproof record. (although Max is famous with his ways around women back then when he was in the uni) Those couldnt do as much damage then as in now, when its has been quite long, the call for Mosley to step down.

Plus I think Mosley stepped on a wrong tail last season - Mercedez Benz - The Germans. And the McLarens - Brits......plus a certified halfwit - Jackie Steward.

Translation : multi million dollar f@*k up. Not that it is exclusively McLaren, it is as typical to any team and any driver of any era. Only that it has hurt Lewis's credentials being hailed so high last season.

It can happen to anyone, anyteam anywhere. So it is rather premature for someone to say, 'we would carry this form in Bahrain to Barcelona in 3 weeks time'. Race is a b**** sometimes. lol

...I am a regular visitor to the site(planet F1) and felt the need to write about the ITV commentators on yesterday's race. Mark Blundell (post race) and Martin Brundle have become so obsessed with Lewis Hamilton they seem to have lost all reason.


From the moment Hamilton hit the back of Alonso's car there were constant allegations of brake-testing. Why are they incapable of accepting that the guy made a mistake, he'd already made one to put himself in that position.



I wouldn't be a fan of either driver after last year but this commentary is becoming incredibly biased. To suggest that Alonso would jeopardise his race just to get back at Hamilton is ridiculous. He may be a good driver (possible even great) but no driver on the grid could expect to cause a collision from behind and know exactly how much damage their car own would suffer.


Hamilton lost his front wing, Alonso lost an end-plate and a chunk out of the wing. Why would he want that on lap 2?


Renault have released their telemetry to prove there was no brake test but we still had to listen to the ITV witch hunt for the entire race (and afterwards).


I really hope BBC don't take any of those guys over to their commentary team next year. Brundle may be an excellent analyst but he has become so biased now that he is embarrassing.

i have to disagree with you. imho this happens to kimi when was about to lap (who was it... i forgot) at Hungary 06.

i think you have to look at alonso's car too. he was trying to block the advances of lewis by moving slightly to the right.The optimum racing line there take a bit of the right kerb on the right and be on the left side (to make a straight line as possible without losing speed). You can see the racing line taken by two taken car infront of alonso's car.

imo its a racing incident nothing more nothing less. i read in yesterday paper that lewis himself considered it as an accident, he didnt blame alonso for it.

i think some of his 30 cars are gifts from Ferrari.

I find it odd that F1 drivers cant keep the car the drove for keep sake. DC sister bought DC's car from auctioneer so that his family can display DCs F1 car in his museum.
