Hi there.. i have made out my mind to go for digital compact instead of DSLR.. but which 1 should i go for? can all the sifus here advice me or give me some guidelines which 1 should i go for? My purpose of getting the camera is easy carry while i go dinner or outing and my family member can easily use it unlike DSLR which was more complicated. i think i will still go for DSLR later.. but not so soon. so.. everyone please leave your comment here.. thanks.

I see ts wants pocketable. between the suggested 2, definitely canon in my pov. Should ts wants to go to prosumer than get canon g7 or g9, a lot less bulkier than fuji's 9600s.

alot of ppls recommend me canon.. but is it really so outstanding compare to other brand? as for my case..FX36 got IA function and 25mm wide shot, but Ixus 860 only have 28mm and dun have those function. is the wide shot so important? some ppl told me that the pana noise improve alot these day.. is that real?

since you want a pocketable , get Canon Ixus 860 IS + The image stablization does really help in lowlight shooting without using flash

bought my Ixus 860 IS yesterday. Bought it for RM1,199 at IOI Mall Puchong during their Digital fair, Comes with free good quality leather case, small tripod, a canon bagpack, stainless steel lanyard, 2GB card, freee RM250 photo processing vouchers and 1 year waranty. paid via credit card (no instalment though) ..

this ixus 860 got image stabilizer, wide angle, face detection.... hope I make the right decision....

i saw senQ advertisement for RM1,299..

hope this camera can give me good quality night potrait picture than my existing panasonic lumix fx3 which sucks for night potrait !!!
