Bought the Grado-Alessandro from Jaben during the KLIAV show recently. Superb headphones. Running it via MF X-CANV3 amp. Very airy and open sound. However, having problem with the right can. It keeps coming off from the slim metal stick. A bit dissapointed on the build quality though.

Easy. Use superglue to glue the black cap thing in place.

Mine is not the black cap thingy nor the slim metal is loose. Mine is the whole right can came off. Dont like superglue too. Point is, at that price, i would expect a better and sturdy built.

but.. if more than 1 times. don't do this methods. as it will makes the holes bigger and bigger.
usually i will ask people to get CLEAR EPOXY (usually i use Bostik Brand) available in most jusco.
comes in small tubes, and very cheap.
take the one with 5 tonnes capability.
then put a bit in the holes
wait for 24 hours until it's totaly dry.
i do fix quite a numbers of grado headphone with that.
even those sending in for recable and has potential of loosen.. i oso help apply a bit on it. =)

i forgotten it is 5 min epoxy or not.
but i am sure it is CLEAR epoxy.
if u can find Clear epoxy which settle within 5 minutes, can get that.
and.. despite it is 5 minute epoxy, it still have to settle for 24 hours for maximum strength.
just that after 5 minutes, it's kinda sticky so that the parts can hold themself up.

don't get STEEL epoxy. as it will has some grey powder formed when it dry. and it doesnt really hold plastic that strong..
i tried. don't work.
clear epoxy on the other hand. works charmingly.

the clear epoxy. is ... clear.. transparent colour.. with very very slight yellowish tint.

Bro beggarmaster, i think this is not right to say a people is not good on their workmanship...Pcwork is done a remarkable fixing and recabling for the community in Audiophile. I think i can say there is always a improvement in every single way. for example i got a same cable same plug with the different people doing the soldering. But i can say pcwork recable and soldering skill is profesional. I did witness and see how he works on the soldering. And i think ever since we know each other since we bump in this thread for 6 years. i did see his workmanship is much more beyond i see..is premium work..so pls not to say a people workmanship is a lousy or shit pls..you cannot judge this..try it you will know..

hand made > factory made .... Lamborghini Murciélago for example ... the same goes to grados

Grado lovers, I'm about to get a pair of Grado's at the end of the month. What amp/DAC would you guys recommend for the RS-1i?

how would u compare the grados s60/s80 to the alessandros MS1/2?

Do i need to an amp to so that my MS1 can show the full potential?

Any mod ms1 to woody? Around how much?

If let say i only wan to change to G Cush, will the sound signature change a lot? I find the original padding just so uncomfortable.

If change to g Cush then add amp I think should be ok rite? Gonna test it out first. Haha. Original pad just so uncomfortable. Heat up my ears.

yup cuz it makes the driver a little further from the ears.. it sounds tiny to me.. dont really like it .. bowl pads are still the best for SR60s and 80s to me

damn there's hair in my SR60  cut a hole and pulled it out .. luckily SQ didnt change at all with that hole
