No ABS, sure will lock. But you said only pressed half, are you sure. Usually in situation like that I tend to push it as hard as I can. IMO, Myvi brake also very grippy.

sound like myvi stock brake easy to lock wheel...
ABS is designed to prevent wheel locked... that the reason why ABS applied on myvi...
u dont have ABS for sure will lock wheel if sudden brake or slippy road...
