I beg to differ but what that site said about shuffling evolving from the roots of hip-hop and b-boying is pure bullsh!t. Shuffling was a results of a fusion with jazz and modern upbeat songs which originated from Australia. That's why it's called the Melbourne shuffle. Shuffling doesn't share one bit of similarity, rhythm or soul as that of b-boying or any of its funkstyles. Get your facts right.

The melbourne was not from b-boy or breakdancing. It was an artform dance evolved from the jazz dance mixed with the sounds of house music and later, hardstyle.
That's how the melbourne shuffle came from. I know because i'm a shuffler myself. I do both hardstyle and old skool.
ouh..i got the information from many shuffler...so i got wrong information lah? hoho~i'll fix it..
They definitely got their foundation wrong. Just for the record, hip-hop culture consists of the elements of b-boying, emceeing, DJ-ing and graffiti writing. B-boying is thus seperated into further branches called the funkstyles which consists of popping, locking and more recently krumping. There's no link between shuffling and hip-hop culture there. I'm a b-boy and the last thing i'd want is to have shuffling affiliated to this great culture of hip-hop.
err, dude, ur crew has nowhere better to shuffle than in a school? or was i wrong? they are in their school PJ's uniform? and that is field?
lol.. at least that is what i see
It's like the 'in' thing these days. I went back to my former secondary school and almost every wannabe there knows how to shuffle. I'm no expert in shuffle but all i see is the running man. See, it's amateurs like this who make the dance suck.
