Anybody has experience with these amps?
I have tried this two amps. I like the rocktron better but I want to know the reliability of these amps. To me the MG100DFX sounds average and the rocktron sounds a little bit better. The rocktron has two speakers 8inches each(25watts the each). Want to use it in a studio for band practice.

Thanks

I don't really like the MG series....... it's too buzzy for my tastes. Haven't tried the Rocktron so I can't give my opinion.

THe MG is not bad is you are just starting out. But you will want to replace it later for something better.

Yeah, the 100watter is a little too powerful for band practice. 50W also more then enough.
How about the Vox AD50VTXL?
GREAT GREAT sounds, costs around RM1665 though.
The Smaller, but quite powerful AD30VTXL is going for RM1160.

thanks people....
i just want quite good cleans and distortion for around 200 - 300usd..
the music type is universal cause different kinds of people are gonna use this amp but mainly metal, rock and funk.
Anyways the reliability is what i'm searching for.

The Vox would be a good bet then.
It has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better cleans then the Marshall. It's a nice rounded sound, thanks to the Valvestate tech.

I don't know about Rocktrons but I can tell that MG series is the most overrated Marshall amp. Get yourself the Vox.

Which one specifically? I've been to the Cheras one just recently but I didn't spot any. No signs of other Rocktron products too sad.gif
