Now that I have my very own Record player ( rclxm9.gif ), it's time to look for some contents. Got any good LPs to share? Bought any vinyls lately? Know where to get a good deal on records?

Some of my Monos (still searching for stereo version):

printed on most of the LPs will be 33 1/3, but on the TT it's always marked as 33, which is understood as 33 1/3 right?biggrin.gif

i have a Sharp turntable - bought it in 1991....now the diamond head has worn off, where to get a new one?

in my collection some of by brother's really old stuff - cliff richard and the shadows, elvis, and my stuff when i was in my younger days - Queen (Jazz, The Game and Live killers) albums, the Knack and many others...

there is one shop in Seremban where they sell old vinyls, some of it are stocks when i was still schooling - in the 80s...

that Seremban shop is located at the ground floor, Wisma Punca Emas - one of the hotspots of seremban in the 80s, now left to an almost deserted place, with just a few shops operating. location in the heart of seremban, u'll never miss it.

stylus - donno how to upload pics blush.gif - will do when i have the time.

Aha!..All my CD's are "condom-ed!" It protects the cd from our high humidity and fungus.
Dire Straits CD's or vinyl from EU or UK are every bit as good to buy or acquire. However, the Dire Straits Brothers in arms SACD was somehow NOT well mastered. They increased the volume (compression?) than its previous re-issues. blink.gif

I think the vinyl will have richer sound especially on middle low frequencies...based on my experience on Queen song, i still prefer the analog sound. Unless at the first recording stage they put it in digital then it will be different.. hmm.gif

Guys, I saw this at http://blog.audiophileusa.com/ :-

Not to be outdone by competing series of classic Blue Note reissues, Metallica is jumping into the audiophile waters with 45RPM pressings of the band's first two albums - Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning. These deluxe sets, due on April 15th, feature two 180gm 45RPM vinyl discs pressed at RTI and half-speed mastered by Stan Ricker from the original analog tapes at Mobile Fidelity.

45 RPM !! Pwhoarrr!!! shocking.gif Now, I do have the 33rpm 180g audiophile pressing Metallica Black album lp limited edition series. But 45's......Let's get the ball rolling, bebeh !! notworthy.gif

Heheh...nice try la kawan !! tongue.gif I would rather buy the 33rpm normal version at Amcorp. The only Metallica album that a must have for me is the Black album. Other than that, I can live without them. But honestly, you guys should try it and try play as loud as possible in your homes..... biggrin.gif I'm sure your darling will wallop you with her own HEAVY METAL from the kitchen !!! Yeah... that's the only album that's 'listenable' to me. Not really a big fan of heavy metal stuff.

What's the issue with re-issues anyway? They're not the same with the original version?
