A leaked list of the world's highest paid footy stars has revealed that 15 of the top 20 earners ply their trade in the Premier League.
The list which claims to show annual basic salaries was published on a Portuguese financial website and does not include sponsorships or bonuses.
Reading like a who's who of Big Four players - excluding Arsenal - the list does however throw up a few surprises with expensive bench warmers and treatment table residents.
Read the list and find out if your club is getting value for money.
Football's Top 20 Big Earners
(Per week averages calculated on 32 weeks of football from the start of the season, 11 Aug 2007, to present, 18 March 2008)
1. Kaka (AC Milan) £143,438 p/w
2. Ronaldinho (Barcelona) £135,788 p/w
3. Frank Lampard (Chelsea) £130,050 p/w
It's not surprising the Golden Boys Frank and Terry follow each other at the climate of the list, the rumour mill has it that the pair have it stipulated that they must be the highest earners at the Bridge - bar Abramovich. Frank's on an average of £244,800 per goal.
4. John Terry (Chelsea) £130,050 p/w
Injury struck season has meant £320,123 for every clean sheet the defensive rock has stewarded
5. Fernando Torres (Liverpool) £126,225 p/w
Many thought Liverpool paid over the odds for this Spanish speedstar but 27 goals in 36 games is a handsome return. Salary wise Torres delivers a goal for every £149,600 he receives in remuneration.
6. Andriy Shevchenko (Chelsea) £124,313 p/w
People living on benefits have probably done more work than this man in the last 32 weeks! £3,978,016 = holiday pay.
7. Michael Ballack (Chelsea) £124,313 p/w
8. Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd) £122,400 p/w
The best value for money in the Prem, Ronnie's on about £126,348 per goal.

13. Iker Casillas (Real Madrid) £114,750 p/w
14. Michael Owen (Newcastle) £107,100 p/w
The boy wonder has only made 39 appearances since joining the Toon and 25 of them were this season! Most expensive treatment room patient in the country but if he can score more crucial goals like the one against Birmingham and keep Keegan's men up, it'll be worth it.

16. Raul (Real Madrid) £102,319 p/w
17. Ruud Van Nistelrooy (Real Madrid) £102,319 p/w

20. Carlos Tevez (Man Utd) £93,713 p/w
