I am pretty sure that 75% viewers spend more time admiring Enma Ai than understanding the story....
The Jigoku Shoujo first and second season are really boring, especially the 2nd season, they almost didn't explain about anything.....

I'm the 25% then. I enjoy the anime more than fetished the characters

And I don't find the 1st 2 seasons boring.

I'm one of them.

The story is ok IMO (i'm just a regular and casual watcher). Always start with the usual 1-person-to-die-per-episode, and the plot only escalate nearing the end. In S1 we got to know some history on Enma Ai. I kinda forgot what happened in S2, except that humans are real bastards.

to be honest, i personally viewed jigoku shoujo as 4-6 episodes... the middle portion are just repeats of sending someone to hell with some side story (main plot story) now and then.

s2 is bout enma's past, s1 is about TSUGUMI <3
and she did made a cameo on s2 too

but yeah, hopefully s3 fix that. no more 20 episodes of sending someone to hell just to watch the main plot T_T

S1 is about Ai's past too... about how she became Enma, while S2 is a bit more about her 3 servants.

doesnt mean tat It is always gonna be Ai as the Jigoku Shoujo! Maybe the gal tat can saw Ai back in S1 take her place become second Jigoku Shoujo!

s2 is more of a lil recap to that, + a lil more sided to the servants, and a conclusion of herself, which apparently with s3 comin, not quite the case lol.

personally i almost gave up watchin the show..
but after watchin more i think it's kinda ok..

Both seasons have the same plotline ... starts with random ppl sent to hell & the various reasons behind it (greed, accident, pure vengeance, etc). It only gets better towards the end. S1 was about Ai's past. S2 explores the disgusting side of humanity. Srsly, disgusting ...

There is extra one boy character and the hime is now in a toy body. ROFL.. and Jigoku Shojou seems like she can't materialise her original form in real world hence like a parasiite have to menumpang kat badan orang lain. Kinda cool.. but quite sein.. lolx..

I just passed ep 1 and it only made me annoyed and cheated. I don't mind the new boy (Yamawaro) or the fact Enma Ai is back...but I dunno..perhaps the other girl (Yuri???) or I'm getting bored with it but my humble opinion,its getting old, if you want to treasure that jigoku tsushin memory, stop at season 2. But if Tsugumi and Hajime (probablity of their existance are questioned since last 4 ep of season 2) interest you, stick to it (hence yours truly). Jeez..the netizen can sure influence people. The new op and ed ...*sigh*.. alot of people complained (including me) about SNoW absent ( she stopped for school).

I've watched season I and II and I can say that they are quite good

everything falls apart when this SEASON III comes into action with nonsense after nonsense topping up each other until it irritates me

I mean why the hell is the jigoku shoujo sending innocent guys to hell in every freaking episode???
especially in episode 4.....

WHAT SIN HAS THAT GUY COMMIT TO BE DESERVED TO SEND TO HELL ??? furthermore he saved that idiotic boy from being bullied in the first place

I really don't understand what these guyz making jigoku shoujo into....... it seems like they want the world to end with all the good guys sent to hell

nothing more or less... enmai ai has to use host body to re spawn before taking any revenge on behalf. of course she's still there. more wicked stories about this season but i reckon u to watch it yourself. Studio also different.. as well as its seiyus
