Edit: if any streamyx helpdesk manager is reading this.. PLEASE update your troubleshooting diagramme. This kind of questions really lowers the confidence of your customers of your helpdesk. I know helpdesks are supposed to go through with the customers some static troubleshooting diagramme but.. if "not being able to connect via PPPoE" ----> leads to the next question "Check DNS"... you really need to re-look into that troubleshooting process.

Agreed 100%. On the few occasions I had to call them, I said I just called before, already did all the steps, so send a technician over or something. And in all cases my problems were solved after a field visit/reset port or whatever crap... nothing ever to do with my computers AT ALL. I mean,
christ. Their first question should be something like did you install/uninstall something/new pc/format/change router or something like that, before going to the wtf-type questions.

Oh yeh, since this is the rant thread... suckmyx started acting up again since yesterday morning (Friday 20th), i.e. slow connection to random overseas websites (Shah Alam area, 60.x.x.x IP range) -- you guys ever notice LOCAL connections never seem to have trouble? It's this kind of shit which makes the option of changing ISPs unfeasible, since everyone goes through TM's international gateways anyway, and most of the time that there is precisely where the problem is.
( The other times it's due to their shit routing, as evidenced by when you change IP ranges you automagically get better speeds. For example 118.x is absolute shite for me, but 60.x is awesome. "Why?" should be the obvious f***ing question that only they can answer. My config hasn't changed. I'm connecting to the exact same foreign websites, so it can't be their end either. Therefore the problem obviously lies with something shitmyx is doing. )
