Hello, Newbie here This newbie is about to go NUTS!! I just installed streamyx a few months ago. Everything was working fine for about a week and then they decided to upgrade that stupid underwater cable thingy. And then my streamyx turned into shitmix! And now my rapidshare dl went to hell from 150kbps to 3kbps and it kept disconnecting! What the...?!? I can't even access TM website! Are they trying to avoid us? ARGH!!!!! P/S: Perhaps we should start directing our complains to the press. Maybe that will get their attention... This post has been edited by Prissy Elf: Feb 21 2009, 12:55 PM

QUOTE(BlueWind @ Feb 21 2009, 09:22 PM) I LOL'ed at this. I can't even access to Shitmyx. How how how? I managed to log into streamyx.com.my in the afternoon and filed a complaint. tm.net.my is still a no-go. DL is still freaking slow. Can't even download anything from rapidshare as it keeps disconnecting.

Latest news from TM on thestar.com.my QUOTE Circuit faults slow down Internet
PETALING JAYA: Streamyx broadband users will have to bear with sluggish surfing speeds until March 5 due to technical problems, according to a statement by Telekom Malaysia Bhd .
The statement said there has been a disruption of TM’s Internet services since Feb 18 due to circuit faults on the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) between Malaysia and the United States.
Due to this, customers using Internet services may now experience slow browsing while accessing content hosted in the United States, said the statement.
Additionally, customers using Internet Protocol services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the United States may also experience some service degradation.
To alleviate the problem and ease the congestion, some links have been rerouted, TM said.

Try to get the 60.54.*.* IP. The speed is pretty good at my area (Bandar Tasik Selatan). I tested the NEJM site and it's loading okay. This post has been edited by Prissy Elf: Mar 1 2009, 12:39 PM

QUOTE 06/03/2009 UPDATE - INTERNET SERVICES RESTORATION
Dear Valued Customers,
Telekom Malaysia Berhad is pleased to inform its customers that the restoration works on the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) between Kuantan - Katong in Singapore and Shantou - Tanshui in Taiwan linking Malaysia to the United States (US) have now been fully completed.
TM has already recovered 100% bandwidth capacity for its Internet traffic to North America to-date. TM Internet and IP services as well as other critical business applications linked to the US have resumed normal operations since Wednesday, 4 March 2009. Therefore, all international links have been fully restored and our services have resumed back to normal. We would like to thank our customers for their patience during the affected period. Customers can call TM at 100 and select “Internet Services” or e-mail us at help@tm.com.my for any Internet related problems.
Thank You They lie! Only 60.* is back to normal. I've tried 115.*, 118.* and 124.* All are hopeless! Is it just me or is anyone else facing the same problem? Download dropped from 80kb/s to 1kb/s This post has been edited by Prissy Elf: Mar 8 2009, 09:29 AM

QUOTE(fearz @ Mar 14 2009, 05:42 PM) if you call tmnet hotline can they actually change your IP add for you? lemme know please. Unfortunately there's no way to change your IP. We are all on dynamic IP. You get a random number every time you log on. Just keep connect/disconnect until you get a 60.* Or keep calling TM to complain about their slow 1xx.* IP and let them know that it's not an isolated incidence and that we are p***ed off My session kept hanging. Kept getting the 691 error. She told me that they are having some technical problems and I have to call for them to terminate the session. Since when do they NOT have any technical problems?
