this has been happening in most part of malaysia for one week now.

every day around late noon and night the connection to international site goes to sh*t.

Youtube, streaming video, etc.

Same thing happening a few months ago too, since march.

probably streamyx doing something stupid to their own network and they cant even fix it despite customer complaints and time given. We should praise streamyx though, coz they are very consistent in denying anything wrong on their end, it's always the customer's fault or cable problem or the entire internet is at fault, EXCEPT THEM.

my best guess: Tmnut is upgrading their network nationwide with somekind of new hardware/software (probably for limiting BT access or to save cost). The upgrade made the network slow as piss.

tried to reset modem and now become 96kb speed.still very slow.cant even connect to MSN..sigh

Talking about ISP elsewhere, what about China? I went to China Netcom website, no details on the price and package at all..

damn stupid streamyx. Takes ages to connect to international sites. Every month pay RM66 for this kinda shitty service.

hehe sup IanLim. I been busy yesterday and also net frustration led me to do other worthwhile stuff. Go to the thread Super slow streamyx today and read my experience. I will be back need to phone 100 and F those people there . I'll be back. I need to find a good torrent software lazy test all myself so i just find out peoples experience. My choices atm is Utorrent, Deluge, Xunlei i don't understand chinese so you translate for me , Vuze aka Azureus.

If you have used all or any of the above state your experience. I'm not sure which one TMnut are scanning for .

I have used Utorrent before., not bad, as for speed, depends on how new is the file, but you have to set the port correctly to allow it enter your port, but then your anti virus program might take it as malware lol..

torrent download at 43kbps....quite okay..but can be better... but streaming still sucks for some reason..no idea why..... =/

Well IanLim connection to internatinal links today seems better for me. Still way better after 2am but it's slowly getting there. DSL light signal acted up again by getting weaker. Light was fading in and out and a switch off and on did the trick. If it arises again well i gotta call 100 magic number get this new problem sorted.

I tried gaining information from the tech support to find out if their secretly upgrading the lines and causing line congestion but sadly i was speaking to another kindergarten tech. I was like are you all upgrading lines to international links and he answers your report some 1 will attend to it i asked same question another 2 times same answer. F brainless .

I asked status of my report this one was godly . He told me it's status is pending. I'm like how many days and he was like oh 14 days. I said are you all wiring my area with fiber optics he can laugh . Then he said will escalate the report so it get's looked into sooner. Then i really think he wanted to leave because he had to take a piss and was like that's all that's all really fast i was like hmm not yet he was like they will attend to your report and problem kkk that's all ah that's all i was like yeah that's all go screw yourself i didn't say that though .

I swear to god talking to these customer service people you lose brain cells faster then smoking, drinking put together .

You go here bro to check your SNR margin and Line Att http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/222851. It usually located in your modems status page. My modem to log in to it it's 192.168.1.1. me: bro, y my line so slow when using this 118 ip? when i use 60 or 219 ip, no problem to xs utube and all. can stream happily. but since i use this ip, its hard for me to stream video and xs international site.

CS: this ip are fast ip la dik.. i can ping ur line and no problem at all. smooth saje.
