dust can contribute to the noise as well... cos i had 2 consoles.. premium and elite...
premium made noise after a few months cos of dust... elite was really silent at first but now a bit noisy.. playing cod 4 is the noisiest as it runs on a high frame rate.. no big deal.. just pump teh volume whn u play... otherwise, spray WD40 in ur disk tray... proven damn quiet...
