Maybe can impose a certain limit of post to be eligible to take part in sales thread. Why? They dont contribute to the community. Why give them a chance to sell or buy in this forum. They messing the price.Begging to the lowest price. A waste to hosting resource with their pm and such. To curb attempted con or other reason. This is just a suggestion from me.

I don't think that would be a good idea. Coz many are looking towards to buy stuff here only. Yes they don't contribute much in this community, but where else they can find a very good local online store beside lelong.com? Just my 2 cents

When you impose this then people will start spamming other subforum to increase their post count. Then everyone will start to complain about each other saying that they post zero value posts. Then every subforum will need to have minimum of a few post before they are allowed to post in that subforum. The cycle goes on and on.

From my own experience, since i registered in LYN and until the end of 2006, my post was zero for the whole year i just lurk around the garage sales. But when time goes by, i slowly join some discussions and be a part of the community too

Ignore them if you dislike them. If it would be implemented, i doubt their contribution of post would be of any value.

Haha, we all know it is just a suggestion and we also don't want to put flame on each other... but if this rules applied, then other subforum will be affected and it will full of 0 value, or 1-liner post...

We do not plan on any kind of restrictions, however post counts do count as a yardstick when dealing with a potential seller/buyer. If you were to choose between a 0 post seller and a senior member with 500 post for the same item, you would probably pick the senior member even if his item is slightly more expensive.

if really change.. our community will be massively spammed.. (who got post = who more reliable) and the conman also can simply post and gain trust.. den end up will be a junk forum..
and doesn't mean senior member will not con (same situation as above) for me, if wan a reliable trade, check every single detail wherever is possible..

Just pratice to trade not like a mad cow. I doesn't agree because I don't want a well-informative thread/forum filled with junk post.

0 Post doesn't means they are conman. 1,000 Post doesn't means they are safe. Even a safe trader can con if they are in need of money.
When buyer got conned. Blame themself for being stupid, greedy and don't use common sense. I've seen a lot in lowyat forum. Sorry if I offended anyone that got conned before but you are dumb.
