Every morning I will switch on the radio while I drive and listen to Mix FM.. for almost 10years now. Previously with Richard and Shazmin.. the talk show is more about current issues in the country and people can participate. Now the morning show keeps on repeating stuff that they have air.. example.. the Phua Chu Kang segment.. some of it is as old is last year.. terrible .. now start to switch to other channel.. any nice station to recommend ?

err... u should try tuning in to hitz.fm jj n rudy morning crew breakfast show
they are even worse. immature jokes and most of the time laught at their own jokes. to the TS. i think listening to light and easy. no annoying fake american accent. i personally would love to see Yasmin Yusof and Patrick Teoh back on radio. they dont waste our time with useless jokes.
the problem with mix fm morning show is Serina C. she destroys the show with her yapping.
no way.. those guys arent annoyin at all.. i guess it depends on how we take their humour and i personally think they're entertaining n funny! besides tat it is our preference to whether we want old school classic songs to cheer us up o new hits to soothe our ears..
jj and rudy are monkeys. I prefer to listen to people talking. I usually just switch between red.fm and traxx.fm, lite.fm always bores me, plus the deeeeep voice is annoying.
To solve your problem, listen to 98.8FM. You don't have to stress since you don't understand what the hell they are saying (assuming you don't understand Mandarin)

to be honest i wish we have Chatterbox FM. what's chatterbox fm?
It's the grand theft auto 3 talk radio. this one time i burn the entire audio track of CFM into a disc and play it in the car. sounds like radio. why dont we have a talk radio?. i migh be a minority here but hearing debates on radio sounds like a better idea than hearing stupid prank where the victim needs to be bleeped out 16 times in 30 second.

After mix has changed to that 3 buffons, things went down for mixfm. I really do miss Shaz n Richard when they together esp their battle of the sexes and champion jokes.
Now in mornings i listen to fly fm and alternatively redFM. Will and Shaz are okay. Think will as a civilized well manner version of Richard and i think things will be ok
MixFM, one of the premier radio stations, is currently organising a "Break for Break" contest. It has invited all listeners to break something that is valuable and dear to them in order to be eligible to win a holiday.
As an avid listener of MixFM, I have now stopped listening to the station altogether. Every day, the DJs remind listeners to register themselves for the contest via its website and then encourage them to break something they love, such as their expensive TV sets or music console or even their mother's vase.
For a station that has attempted to be caring and friendly (seen especially in its community-related advertisements), this contest runs against the most common values any parent teaches their child.
I am appalled at the lack of humanity displayed by this radio station. In attempting to be outrageous and invite more listeners and participation, I feel it has crossed the line.
The contest encourages such extreme destructive behaviour, all in the materialistic pursuit of a paid holiday. One has to destroy something dear and precious and the more precious it is, the better the holiday that is promised.
Has anyone in the station stopped to think of what values they are promoting here? Has anyone stopped to think how in these times when some families find it difficult to even buy food for their families due to the rising costs of goods, how would people feel to see such blatant destruction of perfectly fine items of use?
If the objective of the contest is to deprive someone of something precious and valuable, wouldn't that objective be just as well met by giving that item away to someone else who needs it, such as a children's home or a home for the elderly?
This way, the person who has to give it up still suffers its loss and even gains a holiday. And better yet, another person who needs such an item gets to enjoy it.

In a way of reading all the posts here, most like this station and hate that station Everyone got their own taste & their own favorite local music channel
I seriously loved them more when they were in Red FM. Was quite shocked to see go to Mix. The topics on Mix felt a little bland compared to what was on Red.
I think most radio station nowadays are crap. Just look at Dilly's Daily Dilemma segment. I think that is horrible. It seems they are making fun of people's problem. Especially JD tend to make his remark on every people's problem. So immature.
Radio station shold come up with good programme. Dilly's Daily Dilemma is cheap advertisement for the radio station.
Most the DJs are annoying with their fake accent.
