I bought my xbox 360 in London about 2 years ago. The cd drive couldn't open and I found a fix on the internet saying to use a paper clip and manually open it. I did that, put the disc in, but now it doesn't read it. It's a completely legit console, if you know any trustworthy shops to get it repaired from please post below. I"m afraid if I take it to a random shop they'll replace it with a fake console.

since its legit, why don't send to to microsoft singapore?

I thought I read on the xbox forums that it could only be sent the country it was bought in. (too lazy to send back to the UK ;p) I will have had it for 2 years as of june/july, has my warranty expired?

microsoft warranty 3 years if im not mistaken..

u should ceheck wat ur machine dvd-rom brand..
u can google it to know if ur dvd-rom drive is samsung or wat ever brand

if samsung
u can buy it from other forumer who sell their 3rod machine as parts alone
then change it with urs...

thats rite...nowdays console also like kereta potong liew...can buy 2nd hand parts

Only for 3ROD.

taking it to a 3rd party for repair would void your warranty, i'd suggest taking a trip down to singapore and exchange it at the service hub there in funan plaza. they won't be too particular as to where you bought the console from. a few of us have done that with no problems, they even give you a 1 month live subscription card for your trouble. you gotta call the center there first though in order to get a reference number which is what u present when you handle the exchange. if you've got a friend in singapore, that'd really help you out a lot.

heh harklis his console is from london he can only get it exchange at the service hub from where he got his console
thats where the serial numbers and batches are launch there
so going down to singapore wont help either :|

I can help you replace your drive IF you can find a replacement drive.
Regardless of what drive you are using, i can replace it with ANY kind of drive.
So the drive brand is pretty useless, just get any ordinary working Xbox360 drive

nope they still won't change the box...i've asked MS HongKong b4 if i can change at SG

thats what im thinking off....if he bought it at london , cannot send it to singapore center liew.
