Mean that CAI, useless de ar?

And, If when we driving at highway, then got plastic bag or newspaper block the mouth, will it able to get air as well? later no air being suck because was blocked...
no air intake ur engine will miss and eventually die...

a note of advice:
for those connecting cai hose directly to ur oem airbox, try not to face the inlet of ur cai hose towards rushing air... rushing air pressure coming in from outside is so great that it can cancel off the vacuum pressure inside ur intake manifold, causing it to lose power at high rpm... NA engine should be allowed to breathe normally...
for those using open-pod filter and cai hose facing ur filter, its best to face ur cai hose inlet against rushing air... coz ur intake pressure isnt sucking cold air in... u need momentum to keep rushing air fed to ur air filter.... for any queries, feel free to PM me....
the above statements (in both cases) totally go against basic fluid dynamics
the only time that the air pressure can cancel out the vacuum is when there is a turbo
and if just driving fast could force so much air into the manifold, then turbos would be designed to cut off after a certain speed
not to mention having air forced into the cylinder rather than having to suck it in would actually be a good thing as the engine does less work to suck in air
this will increase the efficiency of the engine / free up more power to be transfered to the wheels
secondly, having CAI ducts just hanging out next to an open pod will have little or no effect on it sucking in cold air
when driving at higher speeds, the air coming out of the duct will mix with the surrounding hot air as soon as it leaves the duct
the result will (at best) be air that is only slightly cooler than engine bay temperatures
there is no such thing as the air having enough momentum to jump from the duct into the filter
another problem would be that open pods suck from 360degrees
therefore unless there are ducts emptying out ALL AROUND the filter, the majority of the air being sucked into the filter will be air at engine bay temperature
this coupled with the fact that by the time the air from the duct is more or less warmed up by the time it reaches the filter, the nett intake air temperature of the filter is practically engine bay temperature once again

shifoo has spoken again... dude u back already?

erm,...i was using a figure of speech
i was asking wat your entire post meant
totally do not understand what you are trying to say...except for that last part about the speaker n stuff

Added on March 24, 2008, 4:42 pmnot too sure about power coming late and all that, but usually front wheel cars accelerate into the corner to maintain grip
rear wheel drive cars decelerate into corners
if u notice a rear wheel drive car accelerate, the front lifts slightly, thus reducing traction on the front wheels, which are used very much for steering around corners
decelerating will have the oposite effect,...the front will go down thus putting more pressure on the front wheels thus improving grip of the steering wheels
it works the oposite way for front wheel drive cars

not into corner ma it exiting corner.. into corner u wan full speed also can (if u can handle ur car) but during cornering ur car speed will drop due to centripedal force. So if the corner is tight then u need more power to push up ur car again that's y ppl toe-and-heel when cornering but that defy the rules of cant change gear during cornering.. any1 can explain better?
