something about the CAI. CAI facing front when raining will it possible some water will go in?

btw need ask bout my CAI.. is my CAI fender part there suckin in cold air? i heard before some1 told me tat not exactly as got sumthg block the air from coming in? izzit so?

i might wanna dismantle my ori CAI n check.. mayb gonna do CAI direct air from bumper.. when i have time.. haha.. but i seen before ppl using sifoo cat CAI n put extra steel mesh n the entrance to prevent dust/stones..

i used mosquito net but still stones managed to gather in the carburettor. Best is, use any mesh/net and put the mouth away from rushing air. Now after a month of adjusting the position of the funnel, I can see the carb is free of particles.

that is not true
take apart your fender
you'll c that its not an air tight box
there are tonnes of holes everywhere
all you need is  that the holes all around the fender is an area equal or larger than the duct's opening
this is definitely the case (there are just so many places for air to leak into the system)
so there is no problem with restriction of air flow
if you have a very sensitive pressure gauge you can check
put the gauge in the fender cavity (away from the duct intake)
then rev your engine until 6000rpm oso can
im willing to put down rm50 that the pressure in the fender cavity wont even drop by 0.1bar
if there is air flow restriction, the fender will become a box under slight vacuum and even at the far end of the fender there will be a pressure drop

whatever in the world is that for?

well, from the looks of it, the cpu fan there is there to draw in cold air for the intake
the problem here is that the cpu fan's capacity (the amount of air it can move a minute) is vastly too small to have any significant effect on the system
basically, the engine is sucking in just too much air for the teeny tiny bit of 'cooler' air that the fan is blowing in to have any effect

as you said, the elevo uses a 'turbine'
turbines and fans are in two totally different classes
turbines are basically compressors whereas fans just move air at constant pressure

if you notice, when i do give explanations which are a bit technical, i always give another in lay man's terms
these usually starts with things like "basically" or "which means that"....

the tech stuff are for the ppl out there who are interested in the 'why' of things

p.s. the term 'cosmetic' means for 'aesthetic beauty'...or in your case 'to look cool'
for this to be true, it has to be visible
which sadly is not the case in the engine compartment  hehehe

wei u guys need meh.. install a tweeter only woh... y not just stick on the board.. some tweeter if badly tune or bad input they will spoil very easily woh.. then wan change time how?
