actually the house i target already got the parquet floors laid down...so no choice la got to go with it...
how to check its quality parquet or what?

what happen if termites eat the softwood? the parquet will suddenly collapse?

Yup collapse or crumble, also if the parquet is near the bathroom sure will rotten or pop-out... even if you use good quality wood the lacquer will often seperate and peel.

If the parquet is damaged or rotten you can pop it out and replace... in my previous house I use to do it all the time... just use contact cement similar to super glue to attach the new pieces. You can get it at ACE Hardware or most other hardware shops.

well i think the parquet of the house i target is of low quality one...if high quality parquet i think more darker in color right? mine is more lighter color...

That can be hard to tell since most of the wood is lacquered, unless you wanna korek and findout. PersonallyI dislike parquet... my previous house was rented so I can't do anything about.

Most of the parquet in my bedroom got badly scratched due to my study chair or moving furniture.

If you're renovating try to avoid parquet... too much trouble its better to get hardwood strips or tiles instead.
