I played Tales of Symphonia on the GC 3 times, lol. Battle system is a lot of fun, linking attacks and trying to get as high a battle rating as possible for all the battles

Agree. Although I've only played ~2hr and got only 2 (speaking) characters, so far I'm impressed with the VA. No complaints that there is no JP soundtrack cos I won't use it anyway.

Hmm ... but how come my Artes all only 2-3 hit ah ... I vaguely remember previous tales games the combo/special skills got up to 10+ hit one ...

Anyway I think I just suck at combat ... but the bosses always kick my ass >_< ... I just finished the wolf boss (Gattutso??) but it took me 6 tries lol. Some more on the winning try I habis all my gels and life bottles =_=;;

To change to controlling a character-other-than-Yuri, just put him/her/it in the #1 slot (leftmost) in the menu then you will auto control him in battle.

The item that chinook talking about is to change it in the middle of battle I think. Never bothered synth'ing it.

Anyway are different charas better at cooking different recipes? e.g. got a few recipes such as chicken fries & fish miso (something like that) that my Yuri only got like 1-in-5 success rate

Wooh, Judith is so fun to play. Even though I suck ass at using her, sometimes also can fluke 25-30 hits, upwards into the air. Even boss also is helpless once he/she/it goes airborne.

*** lor ... I lost my game box & manual ... I search high and low also can't find it anymore ... sigh ... how to sell the game now? Only got the dvd T_T

Basically your first playthrough, you need to "bait" the bosses into attacking you first (especially human bosses).

What you do is you free run around zagi, wait for him to attack and miss then only you start to combo him. If your life gets too low run away and use apple gel.

there is sorceror ring lvl5

At the same room with last boss, before going up the stairs to meet him you can turn left to activate the lift that goes back to 1st floor.

for last boss 3rd form you need all 7 fell arms.

farming grade is damn easy with rita tidal wave spam ... but also damn boring

imo don't bother with any sidequests this playthrough cos for sure you miss a hell of a lot already. go out, farm some grade, start a new game then use kouli's guide in your new playthrough so you don't miss anything.
