Take 790x la. Got CF 2 PCIE 2.0 x2 (8x). Bought mine at 340.

i used before msi 790fx and even cf, no diff in benchmark actually.
so i beleive 790x is good enough and I dont see any diffent ic OC my 5000 BE.
I am not so sure with the 4 phase though, but my mobo has serve me well.

You can perform some mild overclocking with the 650w psu.
I believe the 3870 has consume a lot of you psu resources.
You need a good CPU cooler to take up the additional heat.

I used before CM extreme power duo and it can hardly oc my proc with 8800gts 640mb.
Hmm, I do believe the min psu requirement for 3870 is 500w real power.

yea, one crappy psu. regret every second i bought it.
now happy with my mushkin, st56f is also good but cf is a bit tight for 3870.
