Present status should be student (what else can you think of?)
Name of the school, there should be a table right? Just list down all the schools, that is, primary, secondary schools.
Employer, you might just leave it blank or leave a 'N/A' for 'Not Available' should you not work before, which I suppose is the case.

Field specialized. This column doesn't matter much. If you're feeling insecure, give them a call just to confirm. Calling makes you look more enthusiastic rather then being annoying.

Reasons...you don't have a reason for what majors you've selected?

QUOTE

You don't need one. Should you be able to obtain this scholarships, they would send you for a one-year Japanese Language Studies. The ability to understand japanese language is not even a criteria for selection.

Remember, every step in your application is important, be it a submission of application letter, a written test, an interview, etc. Show them your enthusiasm and knowledge in the majors you intended, as well as your understands about Japan as much as possible.

I will try to apply for postgraduate 2009.
Don't know whether it is easily get or not.

But only have JLPT level 4. Maybe the chance to get is lower than others.

For postgraduate scholarship you have to have good command in japanese whereas for undergraduate not necessary. However, competition is lesser for postgraduate scholarship.

Agree. Imagine, you're doing a 5-year course (1 year Japanese + 4 year university). You learn your major, you become conversant in Japanese.

Now if you study locally or elsewhere, as long as it is in English, you spent 4 year generally, and you are bored with the English that you've been learning since primary school.

One additional year gives you an additional language skill.

So what the heck do I need Japanese for? Who knows what's gonna happen tomorrow.

U can apply for any course u want! And after your 5 yrs there, u can opt to extend
another 2 yrs of your scholarship to do your Masters....!!!

Hi i'm applying for the scholarship too.
I've a few questions here.
The "#6Chosen field of study in Japan"
- we fill in the majors listed out and number them according to our priorities right?

& how do you guys fill in for question#10? (Description of desired employment to be taken up after returning home)

OH yeah what about the name in native language? Does that mean we have to write our name in chinese?

if you read the guideline properly you will see that it depends on the choice of field you wish to study in. essentially your important subjects must get A, that's it. ^^

No idea?
You have to go sit for the selection test.
Everyone who applies can sit for it.
So far, I haven't heard of any fresh SPM grads who got it, mostly those studying form 6 or pre-u.

The level of the test is quite similar to form 6 level test. So most fresh school leavers usually dont get past test selection.

for everyones information: the application period for this year is already over.

Application period is between (mid)March - (early)April.
- As long as you have passed SPM you may apply. SPM, A-lvls, STPM, Diploma
(for Undergraduate - 3000 student apply - 4 get chosen if I'm not mistaken)
-Posses a degree? Apply for Post-Graduate.
(if compared to undergraduate - success rate much higher)

Format changed.

English and Chemistry are alright.
Physics are a bit too crazy, but should be okay if given enough time.
Maths are a bit tricky, too.
Overall, Physics and Maths weren't good.

Yes, indeed.
I believe the easier one is the sequence one.. and I told you, I took some time to just recall it la.. Too long didn't touch those questions already.

Maths last year was okay, but this year very hard.
Formats changed was unexpected.

Last year still can do a bit of Japanese, those involving Kanji..
This year..
