i mean really, with FNF:Tokyo Drift already, come out with name KL Drift makes it sound like a rip-off / copy-cat / lack of originality.

and are they really driting or just a bunch of speeding and powerslides? that one donno la but aihh, tired of these shows already. as if Tokyo Drift and Impak Maksima not enough.

My opinion about Evolusi KL Drift:
It was a very good movie. Easily beats Impak Maksima. Watched it yesterday at Midvalley.

My overall rating: 4/5

What I didn't like about the movie: Two things. One, the shaking of the camera while shooting the drift scene (although it looks kind of dramatic). Two, an 'immortal' GT wing (the scene where Farid Kamil was hit by the antagonist's RX7 and fell onto the GT wing and broke it, then the GT wing repaired itself).

I watched this movie last night and all I can say is that KL Drift totally blows. Really, the drifting scenes are decent enough but the story is frickin pathetic. The acting is so bad I want punch the guy sitting next to me. The dialogues are cheesy except several parts with Farid Kamil in it. BTW, Farid Kamil saves this movie from becoming a total clusterf**k.

Here's my simple review/opinion/rating:

Story

The story is beyond lame. Shamsul is Yusuf Haslam's son afterall. I won't go into details but basically it's about the love conflict between Shamsul Yusuf, Fasha Sandha, Fasha's boobs, Farid Kamil and his stupid jokes, and several baddies are thrown together to make things interesting (or uninteresting).

Acting

-Shamsul Yusof CANNOT act. That's for sure.
-Fasha Sandha is annoying as usual except for his glorious boobs which are AMAZING~~.
-Ikram Dinzly's portrayal of a baddie is a failure of epic proportion.
-Farid Kamil is decent enough.
-Aaron Aziz is a bit better than Ikram but yellow /blonde hair doesn't make you a bad ass. He seems to be trying too hard to be one and he fails big time.
-What the heck Diana Danielle is even doing in this movie? Oh yeah, she's fasha's sidekick / best friend. She's just as annoying as Fasha.
-Nabila Huda is even worse. Even a broomstick can act better than her. She's so stiff even Fasha Sandha is a better actress in comparison.

Drifting / Racing

This is THE ONLY positive aspect of this movie. It's not as corny as Impak Maksima. Sure, it doesn't use CGI at all but the scene where the car crashed with a lorry becomes totally lame after 9 or 10 replays with a zillion different angle.

Rating and The Verdict

*1/2 (Totally rubbish. Don't waste your time watching this movie. If you want to see some good ol' drifting, go watch Youtube. It's not worth your while to sit through a very bad story and bad acting just to watch some drifting in action).

BTW... I hope malaysian can make a thriller movie... we need more genre for malaysian movie.... dont care if they use rojak language... after all this is malaysia we are rojak...

Hehehe, this movie good... Real for sure... Itu ah long aaa haha, taiko wooo, ada tattoo soundstream at his neck hahaha.... the only good/suitable role for the actor...

Overall all good... Cool taiko, Cool drifting and racing... haha...

The only bad thing is: The cam shaking while racing (sengaja shacking left to right over and over again, parkinson ka lol, thats not cool man (konon nk tunjuk laju la)... not all racing scene la), haiz... make me headache...

Apparently, the camera crew wants to make the drift scene look more dramatic by doing that. Even I feel a little dizzy watching it.

one of the fight scene, i cant see anything haiz.... when Joe fight with the main actor for the 1st time, haiz... WT...

the movie was preety good but the race was to draggy and the climax was dissapointing to me. Quite funny and had topped the chart..........3.5 out of 5

Actually it was 'pushed-in' by one of the local sponsors of the film...and no, there is no confirmation yet...but i think its not far off...

The movie actually was quite ok, but then the story so typical....typical enough to guess what happend in the end...]]And the camera shake just was the most 'unsupposed to be doing' in that kinda movie...minimal? yes...but if everytime the drifting scene occurs...wahlawweh...my eyes was having a hard time opening...

Just came back from watching this movie.
I think this movie is a really really good effort from our local people.
The camera angles were nicely done except some of the swaying during drifts which looks forced cos they sway too repetitively.
The main villain whoever his name is really suited the role.
One thing tho, the lead female actor's voice was extremely irritating. It's like shes trying to go high pitch but theres something blocking her throat. Thumbs down on that one. Overall I'd say a pretty decent film. I would recommend it to my friends =)
