hey guys im fed up with my 4870 already (crappy performance when AA, fps drop when particle effects is heavy, significant stuttering, etc, etc. I might create a thread to whine about this)

But i just blow about RM1.3k for it plus a sliverstone strider 560W. Im drooling on GTX295 but the official nvidia site state that you need MINIMUM 680W to power this baby...I checked the price for a 800W psu which cost about RM600.

I dont think my wallet can take another massive hit again so im thinking is there any chance to run GTX295 with 560W? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply guys. I shouldnt fall for the ati hype when i burned my 8800gtx (i still love that card). I thought i could live with cheaper alternative but im really not happy with 4870's performance.

Another question: will my gigabyte mobo P35-DS3 and Q6600 (stock speed) proc bottlenecks GTX285/GTX295?

I shall rephrase my question clearer.

What are you guys opinion of between Gainward 4870 GS and Palit GTX260 Sonic because they are technically speaking on par?

I had done a hell lots of reviewing between both cards but now I just want your opinion.

Reason is because I want to give more reasons of my finding to my friend as I try to convince *poison, more likely* in buying a GTX260 just don't know how to rephrase it a little more Simpler than 1337 talk.

@aura: Thank you for your opinion, I also heard about the issues of ATI drivers hmm.

dont worry, im gladly advice you about this one.

Im a former user of Nvidia 8800gtx, and im very content with it's performance. Although aging, this card serves me well with minimal problems. I switch to 4870 after my 8800gtx busted, and i really regret it. you can find me whining about this a few pages back. So many difficulties around 4870 and i can tell you: GET NVIDIA.

Thats all. Hope this helps.
