I m a first person shooter gamer...hated damm DS3 R2 trigger.. feels like pressing on air bubbles... dont feel the kick...why cant they make it like x360 R2 button?...it kicks ass...it makes u feel ur finger on a gun trigger....together with high vibration.....a hell of a mind blowing blasting experience...

am considering buying x360 just for the controller...with shooters games coming up Tom Clancy Vegas 2..or guys can advise any third party PS3 controller with this feature...?

I guess you could say both controllers have pros and cons and is individual to each gamer.

However, to decide on a RM1+++ investment on a gaming console "just for the controller" is probably not enough of a justification. Just my opinion.

You should also consider the type of games and the games currently available as well.

Having said that, this already coincides with your choice of the 360, with it's current large library of games, specifically shooters.

One of the PSM mags gave away free special attachments to the L2 and R2 triggers to improve the feel. Maybe these are available in the shops?

I prefer the 360's controller for racing/driving simulation game too whenever steering is not in use...b'coz the "R2" button on the 360 allows pressure sensitivity on the throttle...allow more control on the vehicle. While on PS3, the right analog stick offers similar function BUT the "kick" of throttling the pedal of a car is not there for me on the PS3 unlike the 360

On the bright side for the PS3 controller, the "R2" button offers simple pressing feel like other's regular button which mean games like DMC, WE2008 and some rhythm game are easier to control/handle compare to the harder and more effort to trigger "R2" button on the 360...juz my personal experiences and opinion... smile.gif

umm... R2 button is fine for me, racing or shooting. I find the analog R2 for 360 a little "tajam" for my taste. The feedback feels a little harsh, like they used a tough spring for it. It's not terrible in any way, but I like the DS3 better. Mind you I bought one 360 controller USB for my pc gaming before I knew this.
