true, nowadays internet has almost got everything u wan/nid, but a guitar teacher will point out ur mistakes, adjust them, lead u the correct way, n there are many small details(flame on!) that many newbie dun realize, only the experienced ones will notice the small small details, and u nid years of practice(mayb) to get that, but with a guitar teacher, u can get it easily. besides, u dunno which online tutorial is the correct 1, or should i say, suits u.

i learnt a LOT from my guitar teacher, than learning online. mebbe that's just me.

If you managed to at least click on the link, you would have known how to find Michael;
If you managed to at least do a quick search of ARECA, you would have known how to find Kelvyn.

You can contact Michael through:
http://www.michael-one.com/contact.htm

And Kelvyn:
http://alldatjazz.com/item/955 (the address and contact details of Areca are further down the page)

That's the point lar... Call him/them for more info... lol...

As for Kelvyn, everyone knows how good he is...
I'm not too sure what his teaching syllabus are though...

As for Michael, he's really a great teacher...
He teaches according to Trinity's Rock School exam...

Call them up to ask for details directly...

I don't think Michael is able to teach in Penang at the moment as he has just recently signed a half-year pub contract in Alor Star. But yea, he's really a very dedicated teacher.

He will most probably recommend you to Kelvyn too. Kelvyn does private lessons at home too if I'm not mistaken, not sure about the charges though.

P/S: I apologize on behalf of Michael if he has still yet to reply your call. His workload is crazy recently: http://www.uglymen.net/2008/03/13/busy-busy-busy/.

Can you post the fees for the teachers that you've enquired here? I'm interested to know also.

I guess so. Because a couple of years back I used to take beginner classes at Yamaha, and they already cahrge around RM80 for 30min sessions, one session each week. For a private teacher, I think RM90 is pretty reasonable.

Which part of penang is he located?

Do you know how much Michael is charging?
