I'm not sure what VID stands for, for i supposed it's the min required voltage that a cpu would pass all those straineous tests [ Burn - in (hot,cold,room) , final tests etc)] So that's how the cpu is rated, Bin 1,2,3, etc

Mine for example is 1.1875vid. does 3.24ghz on 1.325v

here's my e2140. bios set

3.25ghz @ 1.325v
3.4ghz @ 1.425v
3.6ghz @ 1.525v (trying to get it stable)

P35 is better. P965 has got memory holes performance issue

ditch the celery E1xxx. the 512kb cache is wayy to small n it's crippling the performance. get at least pentium dual core e2xxx. it's so affordable these days

Think Coretemp is screwed, or something. So i'll just -15C off it

Ensure you have :

1. good PSU, HSF, OCable mobo
2. readups on OCing, and u'll know what u fiddle around
3. lastly, or maybe u just had a luck on a 'lousy' batch of cpu
