well, i'm calling it a fake and already reported it to ebay.
so unless someone can prove that its real, better inform all your friends not to bid on it.

heres what i see anyway, maybe a real slash fan can prove them wrong.
1. position of knobs in relation to tailpiece is wrong.
2. headstock inlay is wrong.
3. bridge is wrong.
4. hardware looks like chrome, when it should be nickel, especially for a 10yr old guitar the nickel shouldnt be so shiny.
5. snakepit logo on body is off.
6. position of snake fretboard inlay looks off.
7. of cos most would see the obvious lack of flame.

and its still there.

All I know is, the actual guitars that Slash plays are built by someone not affiliated with Gibson. The guitars may say "Gibson" on the headstock, but it's anything but.

Even if it's a real Gibson, it's still not a real Slash guitar.
So it's a fake of a fake of the real thing

Yeah,I read bout that somewhere too.Seems that Slash's own guitar is much better than gibsons,dunno true or not.

He was helping a friend to sell it, but even his friend doesn't have a clue whether it's a fake, coz he got it as a gift from his uncle in the US some years ago...

He's pulling the auction as I'm typing this post...

He's going to relist it again though, but now with a much lower price and making it clear it's a "replica"...

can ask your friend see what pickups it has? like whats written under it?

guess he'll have to remove the strings...so while hes at it...perhaps can see whats written under the bridge and tailpiece as well

btw, cant find it on ebay.com.my.
but good old google has it cached, just search for 'ebay snakepit' without the quotes.
