I use parallels and i run them both at the same time.
Coming from your question i think it's based on partitioning the drive to have windows on 1 and OSX on the other and boot camp to enable boot selection during startup? |

Just press and hold "Alt" key on your keyboard while booting. From there, you can choose mac partition to boot or windows partition
