The purpose of this thread :
To make a list of 5 Xbox 360 (does not have to be exclusive) games that YOU think will be the greatest hit of 2008 and then comment on each (optional).



My List :

1. Grand Theft Auto IV
Comments - This is undeniably the most awaited game of 2007. No, it didn't make it. In 2008, it will. With the success of its predecessors, just a new GTA game would make any action gamer jump in joy and shed a tear. GTA IV is totally next-gen ; the visuals, the gameplay and definitely, the fun factor that lasts for more than year.

2. Alan Wake
Comments - From the makers of "Max Payne", this game has been delayed like nearly 2 years. The waiting period is painful, mighty painful, and worse after the IDF demonstration. Alan Wake is one game that will put you in the seat of horror and behold the majestic beauty of the much touted word of "next-gen". So it seems. Let's see. This game is bloody hot.

3. Far Cry 2
Comments - Let's face it, Xbox 360 had Far Cry. Was it good? No. It was nothing to shout about. Then, Crysis (...) was released, and it was for the PC, obviously. It pushed the boundaries of insane hardware. And then even more. Far Cry 2 was set for the PC, then came the announcement that it was also for the Xbox 360 and its 'friend'. With new technology showcasing new gameplay mechanics, and African Savanna... one can only dream of it being on the Xbox 360, and it is...

4. Gears of War 2
Comments - GoW on the Xbox 360 was a success. I can't phrase it correctly, because I just can't. No words can describe how well GoW fared on the Xbox 360. The sequel, will bring hordes of Locusts on-screen at the same time ; something GoW did not have. With new weapons, new characters, and bloodier battles, you can already put the word success on GoW 2.

5. Fable 2
Comments - The first Fable was loved by gamers and critics alike. Peter Molyneux promised a lot for Fable, but some features did not make it. Fable 2 promises even more, and this time, Peter Molyneux could be holding true to his words. A simple YouTube search for Fable 2 gameplay will show you a myriad of gameplay footage. Its set to be one of the greatest Xbox 360 games of 2008. And let's not forget, you have a dog to follow you through the entire game...

1. Gears of War 2
Gears is the reason I bought 360 , nuff said .

2. Fallout 3
RPG in FPS view , Fallout universe .... yay or nay ?

3. Alan Wake
Coming from Max Payne developer and its a thriller , awesome .

4. Ninja Gaiden 2
I suppose this will live up to the hype , a game harder than DMC .. yum yum

5. Battlefield : Bad company
Might be a solid MP .... MP thirst

Worth mentioning Fable 2 , Far Cry 2 , Alone in the Dark , Sacred 2....

GTA 4 = Fuk yea

Alan Wake = Initially good prospects, but 2 years delay = high chance of failure

Far Cry 2 = I don't need another forest FPS

GOW 2 = Fuk yea

Fable 2 = Peter Molyneux reminds me of Malaysian politicians



Breaktru's list is more 'reliable' imo.


Ninja Gaiden 2 = Fuk fuk yea

Fallout 3 = Fuk fuk fuk fuk fuk fuk-a-doodle-doo yea

u 2 are getting all horny for games :|

In order ( 1 = highest / 6 = least )

1)GTA IV - Oh yea baby

2) Midnight club LA - Got cars, must buy

3) Alan Wake - Max Payne was awesome

4)GRID - Got cars also

5)Gears Of War 2 - GOW1 was awesome

6)Prototype - Looks interesting..


There are more games which i could not remember but the list go on..Now, to find the LooT

More like ignoring then forget XD

Well atleast for me

Heres mine

1) GTA 4 - C'mon, its freakin' GTA!!!

2) Fallout 3 - C'mon, its freakin' Fallout!!!

3) Civilization - C'mon, its freakin' Sid Meier!!!

4) Gears Of War 2 - C'mon, its freakin' chainsaw!!!

5) Dead Rising 2 - C'mon, its freakin' zombies!!!

I believe the "delay" is a good thing... you know, optimisations, debugging... polishing it...

I will never take Alan Wake away from my list, it is coming from the guys that brought Max Payne. Nuff' said.


GTA 4 is pwn "every" single Xbox 360 game released this year. How can it NOT ?

Now its down to who gets the "second" place >>

Most likely Gears of War 2...

As for Halo Wars , I am not too sure, RTS games on the Xbox 360 has not done "phenomenally" well... Halo fans are.... first-person shooter fans (most likely), so I am not too sure how RTS game would work for these people...


Oh yeah.... forgot about GRiD (from the makers of DiRT) ; it looks photorealistic, it will have a great gameplay, and has fast cars...

My TOP list:

1. Fable2 - I want kill my friend's wife

2. Too Human - Diablo clone + dual-wield FTW

3. Soulcalibur 4 - Boobies + panties + swords FTW

4. Ninja Gaiden 2 - ermmmm..... maybe bcoz it from team ninja

5. GoW2 / Fallout3 / GTA4 - these games at bottom of the list bcoz the hype not reach me yet

Oh yea Too Human . If the coop rocks , why not ?

BTW , im not fond of GTA 4 , srsly . In the day that 99% play the game , I will be the 1% . Not a fans of any GTA .

oh yea, also forget MAFIA2...and SaintsRow2..

Fallout 3 could be a mega hit this year...

Not too sure about Battlefield: Bad Company.

Gears of War 2 will be an instant hit for sure.
