Hey fellow overclockers, i'm pretty new to this overclocking and stuff. Recently, i just overclocked my GC by just a little. After testing, there wasn't any flaw, crashes or whatsoever. But the only issue is that my temp increase very frequently. The usual core temp for default setting with overclocking was approx. 49+- degree and after i overclocked, it went up to 61+- I changed the fan speed to 60%/80% too fyi. May i know if the core temperature (61+-) is safe? And another question, what exactly is the safe point of overclocking for my GC. Thank you in advance

61 is safe. 80 onwards is dangerous

Oh okay, thanks.
Another question, kinda off topic actually. I'm into competive gaming ( cs 1.6 ) and 100 fps is really important to me. But somehow, i get fps spikes all the time. Is there any relationship between these fps spikes and the temp or whatsoever condition of my GC?

7300GT can handle CS 1.6 @ 100fps
Mind to tell what cpu you used..?
