Hi guys biggrin.gif

Firstly, I've decided to lose weight based upon doc's advice.
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/431748/+420

I've joined gym(Menara Axis, FF) for almost more than a month now.

Previously my status is (when i did check-up with doc);
Age: 22
Height: 178 cm
Weight: 122 kg
BMI: 39.7-Obese

Current Weight;(Done during Free PT session)
Weight: 111 kg
BMR: 2008 Kcal
Fat %: 28.5%
Fat Mass: 31.6 kg

Diet: (So far)
Morning:
Fiber Bread + Tuna in water/olive oil/sunflower Oil

Afternoon:
Quarter of a full bowl of rice+vegetables+tofu

Snack (sometimes only):
1-2 slice of fiber bread

Night:
Soup+Vegetables+tad bit of meat
or
Organic Wholewheat Spaghetti with Organic Tomato Sauce
or
Fiber bread with Ham

Snack after dinner:
Apple/Banana/Honey Dew/ Watermelon

Exercise:
Cardio
Treadmill
Cardio Wave machine (seldom)
Cycling
Swimming (occasionally)
Synchro machine

Long Term Goal: tongue.gif
1) 75kg on my body weight
2) Build muscle (Lean and Toned body)

Current Goal:
1) Lose to 99kg

To start off, I want to address my concern the lost of 11kg in weight over just a month.
Doc said that the first 6 kg is probably just water weight. Another 5kg is probably fat.
The diet that i am having now is rather drastic from what i ate last time.

On the other hand, exercise... So far I have been doing lots of cardio.
Treadmill-20 minutes (9.0 for Gradient and 5.0 for speed)
Synchro Machine-30 minutes (6-7 for Gradient)
Cycling- 10-15 minutes (5 for Gradient)

Until recently I only started weight training. With the free PT training i learned a few.
Obviously, I'm still kinda blur la and shy also sad.gif
But mainly the weight is focusing on tummy, and leg more.
A little on chest, shoulder, and etc.
The PT asked me to do 3 set with 15 reps.
But often i find it rather hard to push for the third set, even if the weight is rather light only.
Basically, I am a noob. Did almost everything wrong.
Help needed! Realised that I am doing all the weight in the wrong way/posture! icon_question.gif

On Nutrition, I am getting bored with my routine. And I've slowly gained back my appetite.
I would really need some help on what I should eat and not. Help me out guys! icon_question.gif
Also, I try to stay away from things with too high cholesterol and nuts/beans.
As I am having rather high uric acid and cholesterol.

Also, some friend introduced me a guy that sells Nutrilite. He was persuading me into buying
the product-Meal replacement. I can't because it is wwwwwwwwwwwwayyyyyyyy out of my budget.

Help/Advice would be appreciated.

Cheers!

best of luck bro. to get to 99 is difficult, but it can be done...

i myself is on the same path as yours..
like candlejack said, eat real food, since our goal is to burn fat...
quoting darklight79 from another thread, in the end, its just calorie in vs calorie out

QUOTE(CandleJack @ Mar 12 2008, 09:15 AM)
Are you sure u're only 28% BF ?
That's funny, cos CF said i'm 33%.

Stay away from meal replacements....
eat real food. Unless if you like eating liquid, then by all means, go ahead.
*
That's what indicated on the paper.
Not sure if it is correct though.

Nah, I dont think would want to follow any meal replacement thing.

I think you should google out forums in H&F..there's alot of discussion about the right food for cutting phase. To reach your goal you need to set your mind and grab some real discipline.

Let the health and fitness to be your way of life and not just to reach 99kg.

Good luck to you.

QUOTE
DON''T and I repeat, DON'T make things too complicated when modifying your diet to suit your weight loss goals. I know it sounds weird coming from a 97kg bodybuilder. Whatever goals, gaining muscle, losing fat, etc, diet is the key factor in everything.
DON'T do things which are too radical like staying completely away from oily foods, or completely cutting rice from your diet, etc. The more radical the change to the diet, the higher chance you'll FAIL. I've seen this countless number of times.
A few examples, if you're normally eating a full bowl of rice, reduce it to 3/4th of a bowl (take a few tablespoons of rice out). You're used to eating fried stuff, either:-
Reduce the frequency of eating fried foods or reduce the amount of friend foods you eat gradually.

Everything comes slow and steady, don't expect miracles like losing 10kg in a month, sorry, not gonna happen. You lose weight too fast, there's a higher chance of you gaining it back again. Good luck.

Was reading Syd.G 2006 Journal, and found this quote by DarkLight. I'm changing my diet. Realized that it was too drastic.
