Not a nice ending? Why isn't it nice?
Is it because people are being very happeh even though his gone? Being the drama king he is, perhaps he wanted to die if it means atoning for all the sins he believed he committed.
As for orenji, 200% loyalty ma. Even if Lelouch really dies he will do it if it gives him peace.
By the way, losing the code only makes one mortal...Vv died from injuries and the nun comitted suicide. It is likely that the code overrides geass upon activation instead of the death of the ex owner
Then again, Sunrise so pandai didn't give us much details about the geass itself, and the show is more about changing the world and political drama.
My friend said Nunnaly's memory flash either trigger by a geass user dying, or just for the viewers to see. Then again, nothing can be said at all because Sunrise didn't give us enough jack info to confirm it
The supposed pinnacle of story telling is supposed to be a thought-crunching open endings. (from what i understand from other's people's debates elsewhere)If it gets people talking after the show ended, then it's a success.
though often it can be just as annoying...
Rolo's rescue is really tear jerking if you see that all he wanted was just a bit of love that was denied all of his life, until he was assigned to Lelouch. He believed in it so much he was delusional to the very end.
If Geass gets the nice boat treatment I think the world will explode from a FREJA blast

R2's ending kinda suckered a lot of people to buy their future story merchandise, such as source books and drama cds, just to make sense about the trainwreck.
