The throughput is depends on the location and how many people are connected to the nodeB.

I believe if you are standing in front of the UMobile and Maxis nodeB, you will be getting good throughput for sure.

Getting good throughput from one location doesn't guarantee good throughput in another location.

Maxis and Celcom definitely will win in term of network coverage but U Mobile will win in term of network congestion because they definitely have the least users in the network at the moment.

Why the ping time to KL server is so high?
I ping using streamyx is about 33ms only.

Anyone tested the voice over ip quality and video streaming quality?

Real Time Application?

latency for wireless service will always be higher compared to wired

Partially true, higher but not as high as 260ms.
Inside Malaysia, shouldn't be ~120ms.

You can check the Izzi Net site to see the ping time there.

Already exceeded 3.6mbps already unless they are on HSDPA 7.2mbps

Dunno true or not I heard Ericsson is in the midst of upgrading Celcom's Klang Valley network to 7.2mbps

The nodeB already be able to support up to 14.4Mbps. I believe it's only software tweak to open the 7.2Mbps. Most of the 3.5G dongle can support up to 7.2Mbps now. So becareful when shopping for 3.5G device, make sure you get the Category 7 or 8 device.

Mobile Broadband is not Fixed Home Broadband, so the application and usage shall not be compared side by side. The advantage of mobile broadband is that it can be carried anywhere and still let you connect to the internet. It definitely is not a replacement to Fixed Home Broadband. The technology for Mobile Broadband is actually more suitable for outdoor usage only, too bad, operator is using the wrong approach to push their service.
