Menglembu is a full 20km away from Tronoh, 25 from UTP. I think HSDPA towers have coverage much shorter than that. U has always been good, except for night time. Methinks it wins over Siaocom & Maxis BB hands down.

I'm pretty sure you are barred. Someone in my previous company went on maternity leave for two months and did not tell anyone about the bills. Line got blocked with exactly the same symptoms - the modem could not find the operator.
