QUOTE(lelynx @ Jul 1 2008, 08:02 PM) 5gb is still a lot better than 3gb by Maxis 3G, right? and i was paying a cool rm100++ for lousy Maxis 3G at my place (pst bdr puchong)... I heard people saying the actual Maxis cap is no 20GB unofficially. Check out the Maxis thread. Added on July 2, 2008, 3:58 pmQUOTE(9M-MAS @ Jul 1 2008, 08:06 PM) Yeah, new package. No modem, RM58 per month, no contract! Bye Bye Siowcom very soon!~ Don't be so happy, their 3G service is only limited to Klang Valley. Outside of Klang valley, they're tapping to Celcom 3G/2G services. I'm not sure if you can get HSDPA outside of klang valley...Maybe celcom will give priority to Celcom customer first and kick out all u-mobile subscriber when it overloads. I am well aware of that fact, Matrix. The only place outside KV where I will be requiring mandatory net access in the foreseeable future is out the country, in which case not even Siowcom has coverage. Heh Added on July 4, 2008, 10:11 amDitched Siowcom already. On U Mobile now. Blazing fast! Added on July 5, 2008, 7:39 amHopefully not jinxing it... so, any of u will switch to UM? 3g is getting less subscriptions as of today if we compare it with prepaid/postpaid... Signal around KL town will be the best - as u will often get > 1K kb/s Too bad i can only get 500-600 kb/s at my home - Puchong... Added on July 5, 2008, 1:22 pmQUOTE(virgel87 @ Jul 2 2008, 11:21 AM) no modem to online??tat mean by using phone?? wat phone can to use o??? can it multiuser at home??used the router or wat???but the router have usb port ah??heheh nood here... Added on July 2, 2008, 11:24 amo... if monthly used over 5G will automatic terminated the account man... haiz... can use 3g phone as modem... if u want to set internet sharing at ur home, then u will hv to get a 3g router something like this... http://www.moresales.com.my/catalog/entry/zjqatcxw.shtml5g is for 'fair usage'... as M'sia government will not allow any ISP to provide unlimited download cap for normal public usage... Well I dunno, when I was with Streamyx I rarely get above 500k when testing overseas. Are you on their 4Mbps pipe ( and paying a bomb for it? ) ? Anyway, tested again today... Local (KL) London UK LA USA This post has been edited by 9M-MAS: Jul 9 2008, 07:39 AM
