usually wireless broadband doesn't work well on high-rise buildings.

but u can try it if u have frens using UM.

just get the sim-only plan (internet for laptop) and connect ur 3g modem to a 3g broadband wifi router.

if u're worried of speed, just get UB20 plan to try.

for now, postpaid only. prepaid broadband are not offerred, yet. but i saw the leaflet, the prepaid plans are there, so i guess it'll be coming very soon

Yes, pay advance RM199 and get modem free. don't worry, RM199 is used for your subsequent monthly charges, so the modem will still be free. but if u terminate b4 RM199 is used up, there will be no refund.

warranty-wise, it's 3-days after purchase. 1-to-1 swap. If u get the modem on 1 Nov (last day of roadshow), u can swap the modem (within 3 days) at U Mobile Flagship Store @ BTS <-- this is a good deal. 3G modem seldom die and u're getting it literally free!


pray that UM doesnt enforce the throttle now because they're offering more plans = more customers. u'll nvr know! *cross fingers*

remember that UM is using HSDPA = High-Speed Downlink packet Access.
