Yes yes I know some of you are expecting this thread here by me sooner or later, & you've probably formulated an answer by now anyway, might as well get on with it tongue.gif

Political thread rule in Kopitiam: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/503525
New GE section: http://forum.lowyat.net/MalaysiaVotes2008

My reports:

CODE
- Kopitiam is being over-run with political and GE related threads.

- Users are not allowed to open any political or GE related threads in the GE section

- Only *selected* political and GE related threads in Kopitiam are closed, while the rest are running rampage.

- This had been going on even before the GE thread was stickied in Kopitiam due to the GE fever.

I can provide the links to the selected threads that are closed and the rest that are left open in the back 2, 3 & 4 pages of Kopitiam as well as the front now.
But I think we all know what I'm talking about due to the reports made.
.:: are political and GE threads allowed or not allowed in Kopitiam?
@ Why have a GE thread with only 1 topic per discussion while the rest are in Kopitiam, subjected to either allowed or not allowed, when there is already a rule saying NO?

What I'm proposing:

CODE
- Allow users to create a thread in the GE section.

- Move the GE section as a subforum in Kopitiam because that is where everyone are focusing at.

*** - Perhaps renaming the GE section as Politic Talk section (just a suggestion).

Rules against spams are of course still applicable to take action against in that section.

EDIT: Updated the suggestion at *** happy.gif
