if i miss the chance to pay the insome tax ..then i will be fined??

Yes. If you have submitted your income tax and delayed in paying after the due date, then its liable to fine. You need to ask the bank in processing this...and not all banks accept payment for LHDN

No. Only submit the forms, but keep your documents for reference. You may be called to provide evidence if the need arise.

Your insurance deductions are noted in the form itself. Pls refer to it.
Yes, you need the letter as evidence (and reference for yourself) as to the annual amount to claim.

Hi all,

I'm totally new to tax thingy... I just got my EA form and PCB2 form. May I know how do I know if I need to pay for tax? As stated in my payslip the tax is auto-deducted. So mean I no need to pay anymore? And I tried to calculate deductions (EPF, SOCSO, Tax) from my payslip but seems like it is not same as what stated in my EA form. How to check it correctly?

Thanks in advance.

Fill in your tax form online first.
Then fill in the amount deducted for tax.

You will end up not having to pay tax because your have been deducted. Then for the extra deducted, you can claim refund from LHDN.

Just fill it online but don't commit first. its very simple

hi..i just wan ask u why u can said that "end up not having to pay tax because your have been deducted"??? and can also claim refund from LHDN???

There is a part in the form for you to key in how much you have been deducted for tax by your employer.
If it exceeds your taxable amount, then you don't have to pay anything, but can initiate a refund (manually)

I thought you only need to pay income tax if your salary is above RM2500? Those below dun need to pay?
*
If you have salary, just register with LHDN, then fill in the tax form. The percentages calculated will tell you if you need to pay or not.
Also keep all your receipts from book purchases, parents' medical bills, insurance statements, etc etc as it can be used to reduce your taxable amount.

Its very easy unlike previous years where we have to manually calculate based on the given formula.
Now everything is electronic.

Added on March 12, 2008, 11:20 amNot forgetting, even if your salary is 2500 below, but if you have a big fat bonus and gets reflected in your EA form, you could still be taxable!

Just fill in the form la...the taxable amount normally cost about Rm100 to RM200, more or less, if your salary range is below RM3000.
